According to statistic National Bureau of Statistic of China, Chinese ferroalloy production was totally 22.2236 million tons in Jan-Jul of 2014, up by 11.7% Y-O-Y. The production in July was 3.085million tons, down by 11.9% M-O-M and up by 10.1% Y-O-Y.

World crude steel production for the 65 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 137 million tonnes (Mt) in July 2014, an increase of 1.7% compared to July 2013.

According to the statistic, Chinese calcium carbide production was 2.018 million tons in July, up by 19.9% Y-O-Y. However, it dropped 9.5% compared with than in Jun 2014. In Jan-Jul, 2014, total production was 13.82 million tons, up by 8.7% Y-O-Y.
