[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to Peru’s Southern Copper, the company’s copper production is estimated at 800,000 tons in 2014, up from 670,000 tons last year.
	
	The company’s construction of the US$1-billion Tia Maria copper mine in southern Peru will likely begin in the second half of 2014, which is expected to produce 120,000 tons of copper a year.
	
	Southern Copper is one of the world's largest copper producer which contents Peru and Mexico with mines.
	
	Currently, the company’s main shares are holding by Grupo Mexico.
