[Ferro-Alloys.com]It seems that high water season in south of China failed to enhance silicon manganese producers’confidence, more than that, ill performance of spot market also wane northwest China producers’ activities.

At present, silicon manganese 6517 in north lingers about RMB5,150-5,250/mt in north while RMB5,300-5,400/mt in south. Price of 6014 stands at RMB4,500-4,700/mt. Non-standard silicon manganese 55 pegs at RMB4,300-4,350/mt and RMB4,000-4,050/mt for 50.

In fact, flat demand led to low operation on silicon manganese. A slight downturn purchase from steel mills is mainly responsible for sliding price of imported manganese ore. It is estimated that silicon manganese would likely to hold unchanged in the near future due to reducing spot supply.
