[Ferro-alloys.com] According to Japan iron and Steel Federation data published in July of this year, Japan’s orders for ordinary steel rose 5% m-o-m to 6.12 million tons, down 2% y-o-y. It does not show signs of recovery in domestic demand for steel was mainly driven by export growth.
In July, Japan’s domestic market orders for ordinary steel were 3.61 million tons, down 6.1% y-o-y, those for construction orders were 952,000 tons, down 8% y-o-y.
