Why Russian FeSi,FeCr sold to China ? Did they all sold to Chinese Dmoestic market ?
China has zero import duty to FeCr, and FeSi , but has impose 25% export Tariff to FeSi, and 40% to FeCr. After that duty impose, Chinese FeSi and FeCr are not competitive than any others countries maerial. Chinese FeSi export quantity is decreased YOY, Chinese FeCrLC, some times has still been exported .
During the past 2 years, Russian FeSi and FeCr Hc have been sold to China, most FeCr HC sold to Chinese market. but FeSi is transfered to other regions, Chinese FeSi domestic price is lower than Russian FeSi after VAT paid . so Russian FeSi has been sold to other regions except Chinese market.
Some traders said that, Dubai’s Advanced Alloys Trading FZE seems to be a major supplier of Russian ferrosilicon, low-carbon and high-carbon ferrochrome into a Minmetals Logistics Group bonded warehouse in Tianjin China.
Anlyst said, the quantity Ferrosilicon quantities are around 100,000 mt, high-carbon ferrochrome around 10,000 mt and low-carbon around 6,000 mt. At least one more Western seller is thought to be involved. but that quantity has not confirmed officially.
While Ukraine is cracking down on Russian chrome metal being sold into Europe, this is much more significant.
