One of Indonesia’s biggest associations of junior miners said many of its members have already begun to lay off workers, with less than a week to go before the country’s ban on unprocessed ore exports comes into effect.
“Our members have laid off almost 30,000 workers,” Indonesian Mineral Entrepreneurs Association (Apemindo) chairman Poltak Si.
