Prices of copper and zinc fell by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today on reduced industrial demand amid a weak global trend.
	Traders besides reduced industrial demand, weak trend in overseas markets as traders turned their attention to the likelihood of stimulus cuts by the Federal Reserve mainly led to decline in copper and zinc prices.
	Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months fell by 0.4 per cent to USD 7,065 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
	In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot fell by Rs 2 each to Rs 432 and Rs 109-115 per kg, respectively.
	The following are today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 109-115, nickel plate (4x4) 1,063-1,064 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 432, chadri deshi 285.
	Lead ingot 144,lead imported 142, aluminium ingots 150, Aluminium sheet cutting 151, aluminium wire scrap 153 and aluminium utensils scrap 150.
