Cold rolled strip steel continues to fall this week after being stable for several days after the holiday of the National Day.

For the month of August 2019, U.S. steel mills shipped 8,472,088 net tons, a 4.4 percent increase from the 8,115,103 net tons shipped in the previous month.

After growing by 1.2% in 2018, steel demand in the developed economies is expected to show a small contraction of -0.1% in 2019.
