The agreement marks another important step in both companies’ commitment to corporate social responsibility and supporting the transition to a low-carbon future. It builds on a 20-year partnership between Eramet and Vibrantz, creating a reliable route for Vibrantz’s production of manganese sulfate, which is used in the production of electricity for vehicle batteries (EVs). Eramet’s manganese ore will be sourced from its mine in Gabon, which will implement an Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) audit process to align its operations with international best practice.
